EKO DESIGN EXHIBITION: THE RECAP

iDESIGN by Tola Akerele, in partnership with Ebony Life recently held the Eko Design Exhibition, which took place at the Victoria Hall in EbonyLife Place. Eko Design Crafted Living, which is the next in the Eko series following Eko Star, Eko Culture, and Eko Film, was a 3-day exhibition event, from October 21st -23rd, 2021, sponsored by Lagos State, aiming to highlight the best of Nigeria’s flourishing creative industries. The exhibition showcased the beautiful furniture and lighting designs of various Nigerian exhibitors, which are homegrown and home-inspired.

In a statement by Tola Akerele, Founder, iDesign, she expressed her delight to partner with Ebonylife Place for the exhibition. She then went ahead to encourage Nigerians to be proud of the Nigerian culture and heritage. Tola Akerele also reiterated that all exhibited crafts, furniture, and lighting designs were made locally and the exhibitors were carefully selected for their original pieces.

Exhibitors present were iDesign, Wodu Craft, Bamidele, Wicker Baskets, Cyrus 45, Studio Lani, Aga Concept, Ethnik Africa, Manukwa Atelier, Woodie, and The Canemakers.
