ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Author, Seyi Amao is a true cosmopolitan with over a decade of professional experience in Brand Development, Communication, and Strategy implementation across three continents. She is currently a brand manager at a renowned bank as well as an entrepreneur and activist for women’s reproductive health.

Through her initiative @pcosconquerors, she is pushing for a more collaborative effort towards raising awareness for women dealing with the polycystic ovarian syndrome and has provided a supportive community to encourage women on their journey to better health.

She is also the creative brain behind @sissyremicouture, a heritage luxury brand specializing in handwoven timeless pieces that infuse both culture and elegance. Her creations have featured on CNN Arabic, Pride Magazine UK, Black Bride, BellaNaija Weddings, and other notable platforms.

Apart from her work in healthcare and fashion, Seyi through her platform @summers_voice provides voiceover services for leading brands and beginners’ training for upcoming voiceover specialists.

She is a writer and speaker who delivered a winning speech at the World Trade Center in Grenoble, France in 2014.

She was also the only African selected to work on a 10-month long research project at the Wikimedia Foundation (product owners of Wikipedia), San Francisco, USA. She presented the research outcome along with her teammates at the 2015 Annual Wikimedia Conference in Mexico.
