A Weekend of Legacy & Ambition: Defining The Returnees Experience in 2026

As we step boldly into 2026, the narrative of the returnees shifts from mere arrival to active integration and impactful contribution. At The Returnees Nigeria, we recognise that true settlement requires a dual approach: deeply rooted in the wisdom of our community while simultaneously accelerating our professional and collective ambitions.

To propagate this year’s agenda, we have curated a pivotal weekend comprising two distinct, yet interconnected events. We invite you to engage in a dialogue that spans generations and chart a course for tangible growth.

Event: The Elders Hangout

The Returnees in Collaboration with Lekki Phase 1 Residents Association (LERA)

A strong future is built on a foundation of respect for the past. Before we expand outward, we must first strengthen our connection within.

In partnership with LERA, we are pleased to present an exclusive Elders Hangout. This event goes beyond mere social interaction; it is a heartfelt tribute to the guardians of our cultural heritage. Our aim is to cultivate intergenerational respect, facilitate the sharing of valuable local insights, and reinforce the community ties that make our neighbourhood feel like home.

We warmly invite our senior community members and anyone wishing to honour them to join us for a morning of peaceful connection and meaningful dialogue in a beautiful setting.

• Date: Saturday, January 10th, 2026

• Time: 11:00 AM

• Location: LERA Pavilion, 18 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
